3-1-1

3-1-1

I was watching people put their amenities Ziploc through security today. The guy in front of me had 2 things in his bag: toothpaste and shaving cream. That’s it!!
I pull mine out right after him, a little embarrassed – mine is totally full. I barely got it to close. The traditional Ziploc doesn’t stay closed since my bag is busting at the seams, so I have to use the zipper kind. These are the things I have in my bag:
- Contact lens solution (4 oz. I know it’s supposed to be 3 oz. but I have yet to find a 3 oz. bottle they sell in the store.
- Toothpaste
- Face wash
- Toner
- Face Lotion
- Eye cream
- Neosporin (I need it when I don’t have it)
- Lip gloss
- Shaving cream
And just in case I don’t like the hotel’s amenities:
- Mini Shampoo
- Mini Conditioner
- Mini Body Wash
- Mini Body Lotion

And this doesn’t include all the other things that I could bring but decide to live without, such as shaving cream (soap will just have to do!), eye makeup remover (I’ll just wash well), exfoliator (I’ll exfoliate when I get back home), night cream (I’ll just wear SPF 15 day face lotion to bed), perfume (who cares)……

This is the sacrifice I make because I travel and want to carry on my bag. Going on vacation to a warm spot makes carrying on a bag virtually impossible because of sunscreen. Can’t put my daily face moisturizer all over my body.

*Sigh*

Tip: I’ve found a way to remove eye makeup without taking more space in my plastic bag. Buy Neutrogena’s cleansing towelettes that remove makeup and eye makeup. That doesn’t have to go in a bag. Please offer other tips for reducing!
