I have forgotten my charger at home on so many business trips. I've also left them accidentally at hotels many times. And many people are just like me. That's the good news!
Here is a tip. When you are in need of a charger, go to the front desk of your hotel and let them know about your situation. Usually they will call housekeeping and bring out a large box full of chargers. Depending on the size of the hotel, maybe even close to a hundred! It's a little bit of work to find the right charger but typically, if you are looking for a pretty common charger like the mini USB one for a blackberry, for example, you will find one in no time. The hotel may even let you keep the charger. Saves you time and money (trying to buy a replacement charger in an AT&T or verizon store nearby can cost you $20-40). Once I also got lucky and found a charger for my camera battery too! (canon chargers can cost $60 retail).
The better thing to do is never lose or forget your chargers, but we can't be perfect. I just thank all those people who are just as forgetful as I am :)
