OVEREXCITEMENT ON THE TRAIN AT A LOSS FOR WORDS

You know when people seem like they are exaggerating their excitement? Well I just witnessed a dad of a young girl on the phone, shouting for joy that she lost her tooth. I think he was being genuine, but it was a bit exaggerated.... And he clearly didn't know what to say because all I heard for 15 minutes was:
"that's awesome!"
"that's fantastic!"
"wow!"
"oh man, that's great!"
"I wish I could have been there!"
"AWESOME" (really loudly)
"that's really great!"
"that's fantastic honey!"
"oh wow!"
"that's friggin cool"
"that's cool"
"very cool"
"Awesome!"
"AWESOME!"
"will you be up when I get home?"
"wow!"
"that's great!"
"cool!"
"that's fantastic!"
And so on...

I couldn't help but chuckle. It was just so awkward. But I'm sure he was trying hard to be a good dad (and he probably is) cause he didn't care what we all thought.
