So I return to my hotel room from wine tasting in Napa with clients. I plop my things onto my bed, head into the bathroom and find vomit in my sink… If you know my style of writing, you know I should have written that in caps. I found VOMIT in my SINK. Not fresh vomit.. It looked like it had been there for a few hours.. Dried up around the edges. I got a good look at it because I was initially puzzled, but yes, it was VOMIT, BARF, FOOD PARTICLES visible. BLEHHHH… Disgusting!
Yeah, so I complained… to everyone who mattered. The lame apology and offer they made was a night free in wine country, the next time in town. I was going to be in town again in 2 months. So… I negotiated something 3x the cost…. a spa treatment for me, spa tickets for my entire family. I TOTALLY DESERVE IT AND MORE!
I don't know what is more disturbing about the whole thing, though… the vomit, or the fact that someone had entered my room while I wasn't there. I can just picture what happened. The hotel is fairly old. I probably left the door slightly open behind me because it didn't automatically shut. Some guy, or gal, is utterly drunk walking down the hallway and luckily finds that the closest room is open. Runs in, vomits, runs out. OR housekeeping gets sick all of a sudden and vomits but conveniently forgets to clean up after self? Thankfully, this person did not touch any of my stuff. This could have been BAD.
Dare I mention the name of the hotel?
