I'VE GIVEN UP THE ELBOW ROOM, BUT KEEP YOUR ELBOWS STILL FOR GOODNESS SAKE!

That's what I wanted to tell the larger man sitting next to me last night on my flight to SF. It was a 7:22PM flight that landed past midnight. I'm a fairly reasonable person. I understand that 18" is not a lot of space for taller, larger, or muscular people, who tend to choose or pay for the extra legroom in the exit row. I don't expect that I would win the battle for the armrest.....

However.... The guy next to me tonight, not only took over the armrest, he had his ipad out playing all sorts of games THE ENTIRE FLIGHT. That means that when he was shooting an angry bird, or so he could make a selection as to which city he wanted to go to next, he would nudge my arm. I had my arms crossed, and I moved over so much I was falling into the aisle. But any moment I felt sleepy enough to doze off, I'd get a nudge - so no sleep.

My request for those men with 42"+ chests. If I've given you the armrest, please be courteous enough to try to cross your arms or place them on the armrest. No nudging. Contact is just not cool. Gracias!
