I'M PRETTY SURE PARIS HAS NEVER BEEN HERE

Watford Hilton. The worst Hilton that I've been to. I kind of expected old in suburban London, but this was pretty bad. The room itself was motel standard (carpet, furnishing), with upgraded amenities (La Source amenities, nice white sheets, and a flat screen LCD). The lobby was okay, and the dining room was fine as well. It's an old hotel.

I wouldn't be writing this post, however, if it hand't been for the hallway I had to walk through to get to my room. A whole hallway of rooms had apparently flooded. They had opened all of the doors to the rooms, it smelled like mildew, and they were running heat fans to dry it up, which made the fire doors between sections of the hallway hot to the touch.

The only notice up is a dinky laminated sign that reads:

Thank goodness, I was far enough not to smell this in my room. But I was puzzled that they merely put up a little sign on the door apologizing. They never mentioned this to me when I checked in. I was a part of a large group staying there, and no one mentioned it to the gal who booked the rooms for us. Needless to say, I told her to get some of her money back, saying that she is livid that no one mentioned this to her! I don't care for Hilton Honors points so much, but a coworker I travel with does, and I told him to write a complaint to get some points!

I usually don't post pictures to this blog, but here are some from this horrible experience:

UPDATE: Coworker took my advice and got 20,000 points!
