ALWAYS ON

My steps toward always being online:

Step One: Got a blackberry. Access to email and internet.

Step Two: Downloaded google maps client, gmail client and gtalk client on my bberry. So much faster! Google maps saves my life!

Step Three: Got iPass connect. I can get free wireless wherever this iPass connect has access - like most Starbucks and T-mobile hotspots. US and internationally!

Step Four: I signed up for MediaNet on Cingular and then downloaded the Gmail client. It's slow, so I only use it in emergencies and when a laptop and blackberry don't fit in my purse.

Step Five: It took me 11 months, but I finally gave in to a Verizon Wireless Network card. This means I can be online all the time as long as I have my computer. This network card is changing my life. Maybe I am working more? Maybe I am being more efficient when I am just sitting and doing nothing waiting at the airport? I would like to think that it is the latter. The only time this thing didn't work was when I was skiing in Stratton. I tried to get connection at our hotel room, but didn't work. It didn't matter. I was having too much fun to miss being online :)
