NEED MORE SUNSHINE

Other than the customs officer dude who was SO SO rude to me, treating me like an 18 year old for having my blackberry out and not giving him my undivided attention (he gave me the pink highlighter stripe because he didn't like me - argh!), everyone else in Toronto so far has been so nice. Cab driver and I chatted about Toronto, hotels, etc. Another cab driver referred me to a place for dinner. The people at the hotel are totally cool. It's the weather. They had their FIRST warm day of the year. A little bit of sunshine and people are NICE.

The other day in NY, I stepped outside and it was so WARM and SUNNY for a day - and although the car that was supposed to pick me up got canceled on me and I had to wait in front of the building for nearly 30 minutes with an easel, box, purse, and bookbag - those 30 minutes were SWEET.

So I haven't had a completely POSITIVE and HAPPY sunny day so far, but I'm hoping more sunny days! SUN makes all things better. Makes ME feel better. I've changed my clocks forward already, where's SPRING? After yesterday's warm day in Toronto, I stepped out thinking it would be warm, without a jacket, and BOY was I wrong. It's still cold here. People had their overcoats, leather coats, etc. and I was in a thin sweater freezing as I went to the "Chemist" (= "Pharmacy" in US English). *Sigh* I think I am missing the SUN in NY.

Anyways, back to taping my receipts... You know you travel and work too much when you're taping receipts onto a piece of paper with box tape. I haven't done expenses since December, and my wallet was bulging with both US Dollars and Canadian Dollars. I have a whole bunch of receipt sheets in a bulldog clip that I carry around from city to city. One day, hopefully soon, I will submit it.
